Advanced Health Group's proprietary SP–975 formula utilizes a process known as Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) or CO2 Extraction. Put simply, SFE is a high technology process for extracting oils and oleoresins from herbs and spices without the use of hazardous organic solvents such as acetone or hexane. Not even alcohol is utilized in the extraction process. Instead, SFE makes use of CO2 gas that is put under high pressure until it becomes liquid. This liquid CO2 has very unique properties, and is known a a supercritical fluid. This supercritical fluid then acts as the solvent to extract the precious oils and resins from the original product. In addition, it is possible to fractionate and isolate the different components as they are being extracted. This allows for unique customization of products for various applications. Once extracted and fractionated into its different components, the resulting oils and oleoresins are completely free of any chemical residue and can then be re-combined to form specific, concentrated "whole herb" extracts. What's this mean for you? Historically, extracts have been very specific in the active compound or compounds they isolate. While this elevates the effect brought about by the specific active compound, it ignores the potentially positive effects of the many other active chemical compounds found in the original herb.
